Terms of Service

By using Sheko you agree to these terms. The short version: Sheko is a companion for managing work, you pay the platform when you upgrade and pay for AI at cost, and you can cancel anytime.

1. Acceptance of the terms

Creating an account or using Sheko means you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Sheko is an AI companion for managing projects, tasks, and attention, that speaks your dialect, with optional AI (welcome credits or your own keys). It is a companion, not a manager: no blame or guilt in any message. We may evolve or add features over time.

3. Your account

• You provide accurate information and keep your account and password secure.
• One account per person; you are responsible for activity on yours.
• You must be at least sixteen years old.

4. Plans and billing

• Solo (free): 3 projects and 100 active tasks, with welcome AI credits and 10 monthly points.
• Team and Business (paid): at the prices shown on the pricing page, billed monthly or yearly via Stripe.
• The Team plan comes with a 14-day free trial; billing starts automatically afterward unless you cancel.
• Seats equal active members. Upgrades/downgrades and period math are Stripe's job and prorated automatically.
• Subscriptions renew automatically, and you can cancel or change anytime from the customer portal.
• Taxes, where applicable, are added based on your country or region.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sheko for any unlawful or abusive purpose, including harming the service, attempting to break into it, scraping others' data, or sending spam. We reserve the right to act to protect the service and our users.

6. AI and API keys

Your keys (BYOK) are yours and your responsibility; they are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never leave the server. You pay your AI provider directly at cost, and we make nothing from your bill. AI outputs are suggestions that may need your review before you rely on them for important decisions.

7. Your content

The content you add is yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process and display it to run the features (dashboard, reminders, suggestions, export). That license ends when you delete the content or your account.

8. Intellectual property

Sheko, its marks, and its software belong to STS. These terms grant you no rights to our marks or code. Your content stays yours as stated above.

9. Feedback

If you voluntarily send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve the product with no obligation to you.

10. Suspension

We may suspend or stop an account that breaks these terms, notifying you where possible. For canceled paid accounts, the refund policy below applies.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI outputs are always accurate.

12. Liability limits

To the extent permitted by law, STS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from use of the service. Our maximum liability is limited to what you actually paid us in the prior twelve months.

13. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription anytime from the customer portal, and access continues until the end of the paid period. The free trial is not charged. Refunds outside the trial follow Stripe's policy and your local laws.

14. Changes to the service and terms

We may evolve the service or update these terms; we post the change on this page with the date. Your continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

The service is operated from the United Arab Emirates, and these terms are governed by its laws. We try to resolve any dispute amicably first; otherwise it is settled in its competent courts.
